The joint organisation brought a successful conference, which exceeded expectations in attendance.

It incorporated the annual Australian HCI conference, (OZCHI’97) and the second Asia-Pacific Conference on HCI (APCHI’97).

Hosted by the British Computer Society HCI Special Interest Group. It incorporated the annual BCS-HCI conference.
